The New Balance 1906R “Lunar New Year” is a colorway inspired by the traditional Chinese holiday. The New Balance 1906R in the “Lunar New Year” style features elements inspired by Eastern culture, including a jade green insole and midsole that salute Confucius, a philosopher who likened jade to virtues such as benevolence, fairness, truthfulness, and symbols of humanity, divinity, and nature. As for the rest of the shoe, the upper features a mesh and leather construction in a sea salt color. A debossed “N” logo appears on each side of the shoe, while a blue plastic heel counter helps provide the wearer with support at the rear of the shoe.
